Her name is Shianne and she is a licensed senior hairstylist, content creator and co-owner of Jadenne Co. — an online fashion accessory boutique.

“Who said you cant pursue more than one career?” - Shianne, on pursuing more than one of her passions.

Growing up biracial, Shianne had a hard time understanding her hair and how to take care of it. She remembers there being very few hair salons specializing in curly hair in her area. It became her mission to become a curly hair specialist for herself and others in her position! She wanted to “…not only provide curly hair services but also educate others on how to best care and love for their curly texture.” After entering the industry, Shianne found a love for all hair types and textures — not just curly. Now, after 8 years in the industry, her goals have expanded to wanting to own a studio space to create a relaxed environment offering hair education and services for everybody.

From a young age, being involved in the beauty industry was always a goal for Shianne. She was always passionate about styling outfits, creating new hair and makeup looks that were unique and she was able to express that in her own clothing and hair styles. Her first job in high school was as a receptionist and hair assistant, which grew her interest in hair styling and the entire industry. Her passions didn’t end there, Shianne had always wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. The pandemic gave Shianne the opportunity to do just that, by focusing her attention on her fashion industry goals - she was able to develop her idea into a business. As hair salons closed — and unfortunately, still remain this way — with extensive research, and the help of her good friend Tekeste, Shianne was able to evolve her business idea to create Jadenne Co.

Jadenne Co. is an accesories boutique that sells fashion items such as sunglasses, hand bags and more for both men and women. Their aim is to provide inclusivity for all races and ages to highlight their style in their own unique way.

Shianne remarks on the fact that social media and content creating is a full time job. “It is not going to be built by posting once every couple of months it requires a lot of consistency and engagement.” To create engaging content requires you to first ask yourself these questions: What’s your niche? Who is your target audience? After you’ve understood your base targets as a business, it’ll be much easier to begin planning your content strategy and create valuable content.

We can’t wait to see what more Jadenne Co. will bring in the future and the exciting content Shianne will continue to give us.
